Head of Finance & Accounting (Real Estate & Property Development)

Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and trustworthy Head of Finance & Accounting to lead the financial operations of our growing property and real estate development company.

Based in Bali, this role acts as the financial backbone of the organization, responsible for overseeing accounting, finance, taxation, cash flow, compliance, and ERP systems, while supporting strategic decision-making, investor relations, and multi-project development growth.

This position requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, particularly in managing project-based finance and ensuring financial sustainability across the company’s property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Lead and manage all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and cash flow management.
• Partner with the executive team to shape financial strategy and support business growth initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.

Accounting, Finance & Controls

• Oversee the full accounting cycle (AP, AR, payroll, GL, and financial closing).
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and annual financial statements, management reports, and dashboards.
• Develop and implement strong financial policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, and cash flow optimization across projects.

Tax & Compliance

• Oversee corporate tax matters including PPN and PPh (21, 23, 25, and 29).
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and real estate laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and legal advisors.
• Manage audits, tax reviews, and due diligence processes.

Project Finance & Investment Support

• Manage project-based financial planning aligned with development timelines and funding structures.
• Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and profitability reviews for development projects.
• Support fundraising activities, capital structuring, and new project evaluations.

Investor Relations & Reporting

• Oversee investor reporting, capital flow monitoring, and financial transparency.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation for investors and stakeholders.

ERP / Odoo & Process Optimization

• Lead and manage ERP systems (Odoo preferred) for accounting and finance operations.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and reliable system-based reporting.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, including experience in a senior or managerial role.
• Prior experience in real estate, property development, or investment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and Indonesian taxation.
• Experience handling project-based finance and multi-project environments.
• Proficient in ERP systems (Odoo or similar) and financial reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Based in Bali or willing to relocate.
