MEP Engineer Assistant

Job Description

The MEP Engineer Assistant supports the MEP Engineer in preparing technical drawings and documentation related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This role focuses on drafting tasks, ensuring that drawings are accurate, updated, and aligned with project specifications and construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the MEP Engineer in preparing and revising MEP technical drawings using drafting software such as AutoCAD.
• Prepare shop drawings, detailed drawings, and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, technical standards, and design requirements.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings to avoid design conflicts.
• Update drawings based on design changes or site conditions during project implementation.
• Maintain and organize drawing documentation and revision records.
• Support the MEP Engineer in preparing technical documentation and project reports when required.
• Coordinate with the project and site teams to ensure accurate implementation of drawings on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as an MEP Drafter or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other drafting software.
• Basic understanding of MEP systems and construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team while meeting project deadlines.
